RESTFUL THINKING: DAY THIRTY SEVEN WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

Where do you enjoy laying your head down? How do you provide yourself peaceful relaxation? Do you create time in your day where you just let go and rest? What kind of sleeper are you? I sleep through earthquakes and once I am down and out I am in for the taking. What I do struggle with though is getting into my bed. Always find a way to do more what ever it may be right before bedtime. Not the best habit. Just exactly what I am doing now. Playing Catch Up After Hours. We are part of a society especially living here in Southern California, where it is always GO GO GO, DO DO DO, but its just like chewing. The slower you ingest and take your time enjoying, the more goodness/awareness you receive. Take your time, look around, feel your environment, ask questions, feed your curiosities, tap into your right brain, organize freely, and allow yourself to open up and be free of judgement (give all chances) and ego. Life I believe is so much more enjoyable and rewarding if you can self-educate yourself in some way. If you want to learn an instrument, build something from scratch, or cook a meal, then what is stopping your actions of reaching completion of that desire? Do what ever it takes to fulfill your passions. Plan, prioritize, practice, execute, and enjoy all that you pursue. Restrict and then react with a visionary focus on exactly where you want to go, and the style you will use to approach. Remember though be open minded with NO tunnel vision, but with an optical view finder that is clear and wide so that you will allow yourself to keep all facets of your life open and ready to conquer respectfully. There will be times in your life where you will want to give in, go fast without thinking, and not give a damn anymore, but recall on the times when you do find the time to analyze all the options, discover the total cost of something, and truly make the best decision you believe in, and remember how that feels. Shake your head, take a deep breath, stand tall, and STRIVE ONWARD with a clear confident classy style of making the most effective efficient decisions that will bring you the best results. Have fun and Keep in Touch- RVB

DEEP BREATH MOVEMENT: DAY THIRTY SIX WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

The feeling and strength of a fresh new breath of pure loving cool oxygen can travel to places that you never thought it could reach if you send it to those around the corner inside body crevasses. Enrich your life with a closed eye through your nose (HOLD  IT a beat) and theeeeeen out your nose slowly visualizing the sweet flow through your chest, mind, nostrils, and then out into your world filled with WHAAAAT? How do you lead your day? What do you present yourself with? What choices do you make? How do you react? What pressure do you put upon yourself? How do think you manage? Ever allow your breath to lead you throughout your day? Ever recognize its power and path? The smiling breath that glistens through our bodies is such an amazing discovery where one can fly and flow along our own personal path. It can make you smile, tear up, keep you going, bring you down, and even make you deeply recollect. It does take just a blink/glimpse of your space to realize/notice it. Enjoy a long slow inhale/exhale or even experiment with the powerful quick bursting/cleaning fire BREATH. Focus on your core/diaphragm in and out for three minutes quickly with vigor with your eyes closed gently. Be free, let go, and explore all the parameters of your BREATH. Welcome Accept and Introduce it with a delightful respectful love where it can develop and blossom in a world it can provide such sweet relaxing bliss. Listen and Learn from its smoothness. Smile sexy when it flows from head 2 toe. Yes yes yes so breathless, full of breath, breathe into me please please oh so please. The Breath of Life full of life just for you and me. Take some time timeless travels where it can go. How long can you hold it? Make a wish through an open tunnel, blow it out over your birthday cake. Don't take its sunshine flow for granted, just breathe, aaaaaaaaaaawwwwww si si si. Our Breathe Breathing Away or can I take it away?- RVB

PASSIONATE HEART: DAY THIRTY FIVE WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

Understanding and visualizing how our bodies work, move and flow, is so important to realize the strength and potential our souls possess. It is a must to educate yourself and have the passion to seek the truth of how we can survive in the challenging physical world we strive to be healthy in. For years I fought fat cells, and still do due, but through my diet, mental state, attitude, and exercise I have created a daily life that is filled with enormous amounts of ongoing energy. As we get older and our metabolism slows down, our bodies fight us more and more, taking more time/energy to keep the flow going. In fifth grade I was introduced to Leslie Skow (Ironman triathlete) that taught me about the body, and how one can become fit from inside out. You have to be good to yourself with a well balanced diet (what you eat everyday), consistent exercise regiment, quality sleep, and please stay hydrated. To completely rid yourself of all the toxins, stress, and ingested non-sense we fill ourselves each and every day, seek out places to sweat, stretch, scream, dance, dive, divide, detox, but have a focus on your HEART. Keep a positive loving flow of how you think, eat, and spend your time throughout the day. There are a a wide variety of wonderful things you can do for your HEART and blood that flows/retreats to/from it. Place your hand on it or put your cheek/ear on someones chest and hear it take action. Truly realize and take the similar action of staying on course with intentions that have meaning with ongoing results. This year for me is all about HEART, following through while DOING what I say I WILL DO, and then go ahead and do some more. I am going to lay down all that I have and explode with pure joy/confidence with some drastic transformation. I just have to keep my vision clear of distractions and keep my inspiring motivation blasting away. So please please have a HEART to discover YOUR HEART while utilizing that HEART with some HEART while seeking out my HEART with HEART-FELT actions- RVB

FAVORITES: DAY THIRTY FOUR WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

You know when you are in the stage of seeking someone's true soul, intentions, or passionate interests in life you ask them, "What is your favorite time to do this or what is your favorite way to do that or even your favorite time of the day to really enjoy life to the fullest. I ask favorites to many people I meet all over the place. On set at work in holding waiting for my favorite time of the day to go to craft service, or on the bus heading to my favorite type of exercise or I even recollect to myself singing my favorite song. Throughout the years I have asked so many favorite questions and answered them that I wanted to create a favorite list that comes to mind at this very moment of the night. Enjoy.

FAVORITE COLOR: when I was young it was RED since I was filled with a determined temper and ambitious heart, but now I love BLUE, lover of the sea and endless skies of wonder.

FAVORITE ANIMAL: I am so part WOLF striving to bring my family back together, surviving all that I am, with a mysterious, loving mind that thrives to create a progressive pack.

FAVORITE MUSICIAN/SONG: When the movie Running on Empty  came there was a beautiful birthday seen with River, Martha, Judd, Christine, and little Harry (character's name) and as everyone cleaned up after dinner  JAMES TAYLOR came on the radio playing his guitar singing FIRE AND RAIN. The movie ending goodbye finally letting go River's character to Juilliard, ended with the same uniting song in my heart. It made me realize the beauty of  celebration, creation, and the existence of the voice. My mom took me to my first concert at the Universal Amphitheatre where I saw JAMES TAYLOR play that song alone in front of thousands of people. We ended the night back stage with him, the shyest man I have ever met, but so humble @ peace. Through the years I have seen him many times and even wrote a part for him in my movie EXPLORATION. I have read his bio and found out that FIRE AND RAIN was written after he discovered a close friend of his named Suzanne committed suicide. Call me up sometime I will sing it for you.

Asia: SAGION- arriving with the sunrise up the Saigon River then eating fruit deep into the Mekong Delta instilled in me a deep gratitude and appreciation of what all US the men and women service people had to endure during those challenging and trying times. Most importantly though how the surviving locals have stayed strong being proactively progressive in overcoming and living with a welcoming accepting forgiving souls.

AT THE MOVIES: DAY THIRTY THREE WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

Once when I was close to five my papa brought home the Stephen King story/film of Cujo into my night. I remember a lot of rented VHS horror movies that lingered up in the mountains of Lake Arrowhead. Cujo scared me so much that I decided to sneak into my papa's bedroom and sleep on the floor at the base of his bed, but he decided to growl like a dog throughout the night to keep the suspense alive and force me sleep scared hot with the covers over more head. During those days to fight the fear of those movies he would tell me it was all "Smoke & Mirrors." That there were numerous men and women behind the camera creating the art of film. Once I realized the beauty of truth behind movie making I was hooked. It was a time where movies were focusing on the dramatic growth of relationships and action adventures. John Hughes was writing away, 1980s comedies were flourishing, and I was in the thick of getting myself to the movies to let go and free my mind of all the distraction that was going on in my life. I eventually struck gold moving to Newport Beach,California and having the wonderful accessibility to the BIG NEWPORTER. It was a theatre run by the EDWARDS family that was a well established huge chain of movies that was all about the experience. When I was first introduced to the BIG NEWPORTER it consisted of two theatres. There was a small one and then there was the mothership of all movie celebrations. A theatre that had long open carpeted rows with red-plush seats, and an open air feeling that on any given day would announce to you that you have ARRIVED. A welcoming accepting presence that filled you with the eager anxious excitement that once the lights went down, you were in for an unforgettable treat. At the time George Lucas had just introduced THX. You know that company that presents itself once the lights go down and really lets you hear what the surround-sound of sounds is truly like. That SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRR AAAAAWWWWWWWWW  in your face WAAAAKE THE F UP type of sound. The screen was the largest screen west of the Mississippi at the time and I was 7 years old with an imagination and awareness like no other. It was a free space to just be me, RVB,and enjoy films like TOP GUN. AMADEUS, ROCKY IV, GOONIES, STAND BY ME, LAST STARFIGHTER, BACK TO THE FUTURE, and INDIANA JONES & THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (first PG-13 movie since Indy witnesses Mola Ram pull out a guy's heart through his chest) and many more. I loved Temple of Doom and Back of Future saw them both 20+ times, Amadeus 14x (used to stand up and conduct (knew all the motions/Mozart's creations), and Top Gun 10+ (unreal sound and fighterjet scenes). In the very front of the theatre there was a 3 feet high maybe 12 feet wide carpeted stage that was used for presentations I assumed. Since the theatre was so large and long no one ever would sit in the first 20 rows. Except on Friday for opening night of ROCKY IV (intensity & tension USA v. USSR). But when the showing's attendance was down I would creep to the first row, and then crawl out onto the stage, lay down like a snow angel and just open myself up into the screen. Watching Maverick dog fights against Russian MIGs, the Goonies running away from the Fratellis, or Rocky's jab vs. Ivan Drago was a feeling that will never be imitated. You have to try it to feel/understand it. When I first began going to the BIG NEWPORTER my mother would pack me a small lunch that I would sneak in (fruit, cookies, sandwich, drink, candy) under my shirt or in a backpack. When the movie was completed I would sneak behind the classic thick red curtain that protected the infamous screen and wait for the next film to begin before I sneaked back into the seats. I think I got away with that trick once or twice until Marco, the Mexican employee from Santa Ana, caught me and told me that I didn't have to hide from him or anyone. He introduced me to the freedom of facing your passions, no matter how long you want to spend doing it. Marco was the gatekeeper to my film world at the BIG NEWPORTER. At the door though he took a small fee of 1.00 DOLLAR, and my commitment/rent to assist with the clean up between each showings when I was up for it. There was also unlimited amounts of fresh buttered popped in your face popcorn that I would load up in a drink carton box, and delicious cold soothing CocaCola products. I was in heaven, free range of the place, allowing me to be inspired, and giving me the opportunity to understand the love of film creation. Wonderful stories, adventures, history, love, comedy, adventure, drama, all presented to me on a one of a kind screen, in the state-of-the-art theatre where in the back rows the seats would recline (unheard of back then). Most of the time during the day there was barely anyone there. I could stand up, run around, yell, stretch, and completely fall in love with movies. I am going to premiere this movie at the BIG NEWPORTER and come full circle with my admiration of the arts. I even got to see my face at on the screen at the BIG NEWPORTER during the 12 midnight premiere showing of Angels & Demons. I  cried my blue Irish eyes out never thinking I would ever see my own face on that screen. This was a place where I would leave at the door all my fears, all my outside/homelife anger and be free. Thank you Marco for being so loving and understanding of my passion and opening up my world of cinema. Thanks to the Edwards family for creating a space that truly pleased my soul and gave me the gifts of enjoyment. I love that it still exists and I can return to it like I just walked through the doors. Now, all the seats recline, but there is still the small carpeted stage, the empty first 20+rows, and the plush red curtain that introduces all eager/desired patrons the wide massive screen that is like no other that I have ever felt and never will. It is going to be an amazing night or day when I stand tall and proud to present WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE? to all my loved ones and all that arrives into the BIG NEWPORTER to enjoy my Year of the Dragon journey. I can't wait. IT WILL happen. I wonder howmuct it would cost to rent out during the day and watch Mozart conduct Don Giovanni, Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards, Meg Ryan and Kelly McGinnis sing "Great Balls of Fire" Harrison Ford & Kate Capshaw get drenched with water by an Indian Elephant, or see Michael J. Fox with Christopher Lloyd go back in time with Hewey Lewis & Biff. Being at the movies for me is always a home. A place to release and surrender, a loving space where I can relate, be educated, and celebrate the beauty of living. RVB

FACE YOUR GREATNESS TODAY: DAY THIRTY TWO WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

I believe many of us know, understand, and believe in the gifts that we possess, but the biggest fear we all have is the fear of being GOD. Meaning the fear of being great. Facing your gifts, giving them the undivided focus that they deserve, and truly create a spirit that is grand. So many of us don't manifest our true potential. So many of us live to survive and not live to be free or give. We have to LET GO and LET BE of who we truly are. Deep down I know what I am capable of doing and creating. What I am filled with is (YES) fear, excuses, distractions/vices, but I have the desire to break them down and overcome all that I am faced with, and put complete focus on what I was brought to Earth to celebrate. Too many of us give in to what we are expected to do or what our traditions tell us to follow and completely deprive our souls of letting be and giving one another the true greatness that we are. We ALL have the power of choice to lead our lives the way we want. What holds us back are those choices and the style we decide to lead. Currently my style has to change since I am not doing what I want to do. My gifts are so so so present and beautiful, but I am avoiding them like the plague y'all. That is why I am here to transform myself, face my fears, and create a life of mine that I deserve to share/give to myself and others. I am thirty five years old, have been all over the world absorbing, taking in, observing, I am so overdue to BLOW UP and get DOING. What gifts do you possess? What do you do to manifest them? How do you assure yourself and others that you are developing and utilizing them to the best of your ability? We are all unique loving souls that have the ability to shine and delight everything we put our minds towards. Understand that, believe it, and stop turning away from all that you are, can be, and should be in this vast world of ours. I have waited too long and now I will put focus/energy from within and release all that I have in order to create true fulfillment for all that I pursue. One must create a vision, speak of this vision, take action within this vision, and follow through with your vision to allow its power to continue. Too many of us satisfy too easily, give in, or even give up on what they are capable of doing. They take the easy way around the mountain. Get up and get over it, or even dig on through, but at least overcome all that you fear and do your best while bringing the best out of you and others. Life is so much more enjoyable when you can provide inspiration, motivation, and guidance towards others. A smile and piece of advice goes a long way, sometimes ingrained for a life time, but please please please STOP avoiding, putting down, and focusing on the negative. But "I am REALIST Ryan. The bottomline is...that I am this and that and my mom had this, and my grandfather always did it this way on the second Tuesday of the month and I HAVE TO AND I KNOW IT HAS TO BE THIS WAY OR ELSE...." no more thinking this way people. Become an Optimist=Understanding and believing in the power of creating goodness in your life by bringing in newness and manifesting one's greatness by being proactively gracious. Remember YOU know what you have, you know what you are capable of doing, and you know what puts that internal smile and sunshine within you. Take the action and be your own creator of your great world. See you out there- RVB

LOS ANIMALES: DAY THIRTY ONE WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

I was told when I was two I was over at a neighbor's house curiously intrigued by the family dog. I was trekking along following it around and pulling its tail. I guess I got too close into the space of the critter and it decided to take a little bite out of my right cheek. I don't know the extent of the injury, but it didn't phase me since  after the incident I caught again following the thing around pulling its tail. Every once in awhile if you look real close you can still see a slight scar on my face, but since I smile so much it just blends into my dimple. I see is as kind of a Harry Potter marking (just made that up) within my soul that there is a DOG in me. I do look down at my forearms and discover the two wolf tattoos that I received in Limerick, Ireland and Amsterdam, Holland (The Netherlands) since I am a Dutch Irishman. A mysterious, searching, surviving, exploring, hungry, prowling, predator, ambitious, fierce focused soul that thrives on the chase of the unknown and the conquering of its plight. I have a wonderful connection and understanding respectful bond with animals. Its best to baby talk them, get down to their level, feel their soul, look them in the eye and respect their existence. I am a vegan, respect the animal, but am no activist.  I respect people's choices and not one to preach, put down or judge. Remember I will even cook you up a delicious piece of meat if you want, fry up some catfish, bake you some chicken Parmesan. I just demand the kind courteous respect of all creatures. Understand their being and reach into their souls with a kind sharing demeanor that can be felt eye2eye, heart2heart, hand2hand. I love to embrace animals, and seek their energy. I love to learn from animals, observe their movement, response to sound, and even howl, hiss or bark with them. Once I was at the entrance of a heavily guarded secured dark Italian port, at least that is what it was perceived as, but little did I know what would happen next. There stood a fierce-focused canine, with a growl and bite that would scare away any predator or trespasser, but not me since I saw that he was wagging his tail when I started blowing him kisses through the fence. The German Sheppard wsa hungry for some love and slowly began to break down creeping towards the fence. Remember HE WAS THE head security guard at this huge seaside port in Livorno that was the gateway charter in and out of Palermo, Sicilia. So a lot was expected of him, and the future/safety of the port and even the country of Italia was put upon his shoulders. As he came closer and closer to the fence I got down to his level sitting on the ground. His growls slowly with hesitation turned into whimpers as his tail swayed and shook with love. He growled he cried. Once he started to do that I knew I had him and was waiting to give him the love and affection he deserved and deeply desired. He actually did a double take behind him and then found his way in front me behind the fence and completely gave into the moment. Remember he was supposed to be this mean, loyal guard dog soldier, but deep down he was just a plain old lovable pooch that loved his back and under his chin scratched. He got to enjoy that moment as much as he could until he realized what he surrendered himself to, and then he abruptly rose to his feet and violently began to do what he was trained to do, BARK BARK BARK, but I continued showering him with love, he continued wagging his tail, but he had to show me who was the REAL BOSS/GUARDIAN of this port by showing me his teeth. This is one of many wonderful animal stories that is within me. My mother had a wonderful sweet selfless Portuguese Water Dog named Belleza Quezar Neptune of the Sea (she was the runt of the litter but had crooked front teeth) so we were graced with her presence for 10+ years) we called her Beleza (beauty). She was a delight to play with, drink with, smoke with, and she loved to cuddle. She possessed an amazing loving heart, senses that felt pain, and a consoling soul like no other. She was kinky black with a front dash of white. Wasn't too fond of the water since we forced her into the pool at a young age and it wasn't the best intro to what she was born to do. She had web-feet, and in ancient times her breed was used to relay messages back and forth from ship to ship. I truly love the souls, minds, and intentions of animals. Show them respect, show them who is boss, welcome them, accept them, walk and run with them, feed them, share with them, and treat them as you would enjoy being treated. If you can't care for them, there are others that will. Take the time when you see one to be aware they too have bad days, aren't always completely aware, and can make mistakes too. Enjoy their life and love, and do your best to educate yourself about them by observation in the wild, reading, or seeking out others that know. Los Animales are a pat of our world too- RVB
