Growing up in a world where all of us are judged upon our looks, our health, our wealth, what diet we follow, how and what we drive or don’t drive, who we have as our friends, where we went to school, what kind of family we grew up in, our career path etc etc etc… In my childhood I grew up on athletic fields, was active, grew up fast and vast, and loved to eat a wide variety of sweet and savory as quick as I can talk. Those who know me sure know I can chat, and love to indulge in the tasty sweet and spicy abundance at all hours of the day. As I grew into my adolescence and slowed down my activities, plus with the invention of video games, (not a big gamer, but loved sports games since I love competition) and the innovation of Processed Food America, I began to round out the handles with rolls where Sweet&Low was sprinkled on my Kix and morning dieted grapefruits with lunchtime carrot celery sticks with peanut butter raisins that cut the hunger. Then there was the introduction of early teenage SlimFast or Ensure twice a day with a sensible dinner that was served with a boneless 98% fat free chicken with side steamed greens that didn’t have a prayer to put a dent into my billowing waistline since I never gave up the cravings. I TIP THE SCALES today close to 180 and stand 6’2”, but back in the day I got as high as 225 when the booze was bubbling and I was binging the high carb high fat cookie monster pastry living diet where my cardio was hitting the B and living the HighLife with a smile as wide as my Irish-BlueAsian glazed eyes.
