PICKING FRUIT: DAY TWO HUNDRED FORTY ONE WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

I strongly believe we are what we eat and please take the time to look around and see the facts of this within your community. There are a variety of diets that people follow each and every day. When I was young I viewed a diet as something you mold into, where you make some sacrifices in order to lose weight and be more healthy for myself. Normally it involved deprivation, some sweaty exercise, and little weight loss. When I decided to jump ship and get off the diet, all went back to the same place or even more; my waistline, number on scale, my guilt seemed to follow....Almost close to five years ago I declared my body as sacred. I gave up drugs and alcohol, and decided to change my perspective on the concept of diet. Nowadays my diet equals my daily intake of all the food that I eat and enjoy. My daily diet is apart of me. It is my way of life and its completely exhilarating. A year ago I became a strict vegan (even no soy except for an occasional Starbucks where I am writing ahora) and truly have developed a sense of peace, more self-respect, and an ease of providing myself goodness to my belly. Why am I a vegan? To maintain a quality lifestyle of balance, healthiness, enjoyable weight, conquer my metabolism, and to be kind to my natural animal environment. I truly love to eat and enjoy all that is out there concerning creative cuisine. I come from a Dutch baking family and have cooking/baking within my blood. My lifestyle today allows me to continue my love to indulge, but in a more respectful healthy arena. I never feel deprived or sluggish, and surely am proud of my choices. I now have a more detailed awareness of goodness when it comes to the source of food, how it effects me, and how I choose for it to be a part of me and my life. There are times of disappointed anger when seeing other ruin there bodies through their diet and pass it on to their powerless children, but I have to focus on me as of now, stay strong, educate myself, and hope someday can be a wonderful inspiring influence to others by setting example through my choices. So keep PICKING FRUIT by being picky y'all so you can go home at night and celebrate the juiciness of the delicious creations that our trees and Earth provide our desiring diets. BonAppetito
