DISCOVERY- TWO PAGER movie idea...love to create stories...ENJOY......
There are certain places in the world that bring out the best in people. For a determined though lost American soul, Henry Frank, this place was in the city of Amsterdam where in a few years he has established himself as a slick, but sometimes forgetful, private investigator. His business was very lucrative and secret while he enjoyed a sociable lifestyle throughout the bicycle- riding, canal-filled town. Henry is often found at the local coffee shops where he enjoys smoking hashish. The only way he can be contacted for his services is by word of mouth and personal delivery.
One late night as he is leaving the red light district, he is approached by a young African kid that mentions that his services are desired by a local Jamaican Rasta drug lord. Henry gets cleaned up and heads over to the drug lord’s apartment. There the drug lord explains that he needs Henry to accompany him to a potential supplier’s residence to set up surveillance and engage in observation. As they make their visit to the supplier’s house Henry sets up and begins tracking the supplier. He discovers that the plan to do business with the drug lord is a complete set up. Henry reports back to him with the news resulting in the murder of the non-trusting supplier and all his cohorts.
After laying low for awhile, Henry is needed again to assist a posh, mid-40s socialite, with the recapturing of her missing champion greyhound. Henry is introduced to the socialite at her penthouse suite where she is greets him in a sexy lingerie outfit. Immediately Henry is given complete details of his new mission and how the socialite suspects her ex-husband and his bimbo lover’s involvement. She insists that Henry joins her at a dinner party thrown by her ex-husband at his home. At the party Henry quickly disappears and gets to business, weaving his way around the apartment to discover the champion greyhound, Tippy, in the master suite bathroom. With Tippy in his hands, Henry plans an escape route and heads out a nearby by window. Throughout the night Henry runs all around town with Tippy showing her a great time. The next morning Henry meets the socialite back at her place where he presents her with Tippy. She immediately thanks Henry by seducing him and making passionate love to him all over her house. Henry says his goodbyes and slips out into the night, stopping off at a local coffee shop for a hallucinogenic, mushroom dinner.
During the night he is approached by a limousine where a butler-looking man offers to give Henry a lift. The butler demands that Henry get in since he is desired to be at The Hague first thing in the morning for a proposition. Henry hops and is taken to a diplomat’s office where he explains to Henry that he wants him to help out his American colleague in clarifying that his daughter is spending her time wisely at the local Art College. The diplomat gives Henry a picture and details of where she attends school. He also mentions that Henry needs to be completely professional since the girl is engaged and returning home to the States in a few months to get married. Henry is hired to follow her daily routine and report back to the diplomat on a weekly basis. Henry first observes the girl in a library studying with a group of university students. He then follows her home and begins making observations of who makes visits to her. Henry takes pictures and eventually breaks in to tap the place as she leaves for the night. The next day he trails her around the city with her friends as they settle down at an art exhibit. After a week of observation, the diplomat praises Henry and hires him for another week. During the week Henry discovers that the girl has met a local businessman and has entertained him on many occasions. They are very close, but share no intimacy. Through his investigation Henry is beginning to fall for the beautiful young girl. One night she is out with her girlfriends for drinks and she approaches Henry very aggressively. At the bar they talk for a long time as she is heavily coming on to him. Her friends approach and invite him over to one of their houses. At first he declines, but is dragged out by the girl and brought back to her place. There they party and become closer. The party slows down as the girl continues her flirting and moves in on Henry. He tries to resist, but finally gives in and lets loose with her. The next day he rushes out since he is due at The Hague for his weekly report. At The Hague the diplomat can be heard yelling as a man is thrown out of the office. Henry recognizes him from the party he attended the night before and begins questioning him. The man shows Henry pictures of himself being intimate with the girl. The diplomat demands to see Henry immediately. Henry briefly discusses with the man about his hired services as the red-faced diplomat appears and escorts Henry into his office. The office is filled with Henry’s parents, family members, and friends from back home. The diplomat explains to Henry that he was hired by his parents to locate him and set him up with a nice beautiful Dutch girl. The girl appears and gives Henry a big hug and kiss as everyone toasts and shares laughter. Henry can’t believe that he got cased and followed. The party continues as Henry enjoys drinks and reunification with his family, friends, and newly discovered woman.
